Score each area 1–5 during the demo
| Area | What good looks like |
|---|---|
| Point-of-care charting | A nurse completes a realistic visit note on a tablet, online and offline |
| QA workflow | A chart moves through review with a clear return-to-clinician loop |
| OASIS & PDGM | Coding checks happen before the claim, not after a denial |
| Billing & claims | Claims built from reviewed charts; eligibility verified up front |
| Reporting | Census, outcomes, and revenue visible without exporting to spreadsheets |
| AI features | Drafting shown with the clinician review step, not just the magic part |
| Implementation | A concrete migration plan with responsibilities on both sides |
Rules for a fair demo
- Ask for your scenarios, not their script: a recert, a missed visit, a QA return.
- Have a clinician and a biller in the room, not just executives.
- Ask what is NOT included in the quoted price.
- Ask to speak with a reference agency of similar size.
After the demo
Score within 24 hours while impressions are fresh. If two vendors tie on the scorecard, decide on implementation plan and support quality — that is where long-term satisfaction actually comes from.
